The Importance of Backing Up Your Files
No matter how many times I say it, some people never learn.
So many times when I respond to a computer repair call, I find myself trying to salvage someone's computer that have been ravaged by numerous viruses. More often than not, the owner has not kept any backup of their important files and they plead with me to somehow recover their files.
Sometimes, I can recover them with no problem. Sometimes, the infection is so bad that their files have become corrupted and there is just no way to get a clean copy back out.
The lessons here: Never for an instant believe that your computer will never die!
Please, make a back up of your files and put them on a portable/external drive or at the very least on a CD/DVD. This will help you imensely if and when your computer has to be reformatted.
